ABA Supercamp coming to Alberta For the first time in many years ABA (American Bicycle Association) SuperCamp is coming back to Southern Alberta. This camp was organized last week on very short notice by Calgary and Okotoks BMX. On July 24-25 some of the best riders from the US will be at Calgary BMX. Bubba Harris, Lee Lewis, Deak Brown, and Thomas Vallejo will offer their outstanding instruction in a two day camp. Cost is $100 for the weekend or $60 single day. Provincial Cup #3 got off with perfect weather on day one in the Hat but once again this year, mother nature gave us rain and day #2 was wet with the rainout policy coming in to effect and race #3 became a double-pointer if you chose to keep your registration in. Fran D. will be teaching the BEM course which includes a hardcopy manual in Red Deer on March 20, 2010. Your fee would be only $10, cheap. If you are wishing to attend, contact Red Deer member Glen Pratt and he will make sure you get the particulars of location, etc. I encourage only those that know how to make motos manually to attend. With the already busy winter season, it appears that although there is lots of interest in the fundraiser, most are finding it hard to commit to this event. As we are fast approaching the date, and a low commitment, it was decided by the AICC executive to postpone the fundraiser until the summer months when everyone is in “BMX mode”. The goal remains the same but in understanding that most others have other commitments during these months, we will just move it to a later date. As you may have heard, over the winter months, the AICC (Alberta indoor Cycling center) executive was resurrected with the hopes to erect or obtain a building for an indoor racing/training facility. Although most has been quiet to date, they are making some good progress towards that goal. One thing they need and cannot do without is the support of all the members and racing disciplines to help make this common goal a reality. Upcoming is the AICC’s first annual “Raise The Roof” fundraiser at Shanks South (Calgary). They are welcoming all members, non members, friends and family to this event to help support the AICC and its goal all the while having fun doing it! Please

This is also a great way to have the clubs and their members get back into the BMX groove and mingle with the friends we haven’t seen in 6 months. They are challenging each track to push for support from their membership and come on out for a great time. Tickets are $10 each and 50% of the ticket sales go towards the AICC fundraiser. There will be a buffet included. There will also be a 50/50, silent auction, games and more so come on out and support the common goal!

If you have earned no number use the last 3 digits of your birth date in in the following format YYYYMMDD. So, 1966/11/30 would be number 1302010 Number Plate List
