The 2008 World Championships are being held in Taiyuan China this year from May 29 - June 1. Canada can send 16 riders per age class but you need to qualify. The criteria for qualifying are found in detail here pdf

The first 2 WNS races were held in Morley and with a good turnout from both Alberta and BC (around 200 riders both days) it was a great launch for the CBA. The results including teams should be posted within the week

The CBA website website has officially launched. At present it contains info relating to the Western National Series and all WNS info and results can be found there in the future. There is also a new link on the left hand column of the pages here at Alberta BMX.

The Friday night race at Morley has been cancelled. Instead there will be open track practice from 3:00pm to 9:00pm. Cost will be $10

Airdrie BMX will have Morley open this coming Saturday (March 15th) for coaching. Coaching will be done by Airdrie's coaches. Coaching starts at 10:00 until around 12:00.
After that we will have open track for a little while (maybe until 2 or 3).
This is free for Airdrie riders, riders from all other clubs will have to pay $10 a head.
One last tune up before the WNS races.

There will be at least one more Camp Cools in Morley. This coming Saturday (March 8th) Ken will be holding a Camp Cools at the Morley Indoor. Airdrie BMX is footing the bill for this one so if you're a member of the Airdrie club then this clinic is free. Regular fees apply to all other riders ($20 for coaching or $25 for coaching + open track). Coaching begins at 10:00am with open track starting around noon and lasting until 3:00 or thereabouts.
