The Alberta BMX Annual General Meeting will be held on October 20th, 2007 in Airdrie at the Ramada (map) . Time is 9:00am to 5:00pm. Some positions are up for election. All members of Alberta BMX are welcome. This is your first look at the agenda for the 2008 season

The 2007 Western National Series is complete. The best 5 finishes plus the Final race counted towards your Western National ranking and the right to wear your "C" plate next season. A ton of big name pros showed up on Saturday for the UCI points race too. Kyle Bennett (USA) and Samantha Cools (CAN) are on a tear lately with big wins in the Elite classes. Other notable Albertan pros at the UCI race were Kaila Sweeney (5th Elite women), Alex Sailer (3rd Junior men), Jeff Jacobsen (5th Junior men), Karsten Millman (7th Junior men), Sam Lueck (Junior men), Megan Frew (2nd Junior women), Michilla Negenman (5th Junior women) and Amanda Lavorato (7th Junior women). The results for both days can be seen on our POINTS page. We are currently awaiting the series final results and rankings.

The Provincial Series Grands and Provincial Championships are over. Despite some rainy moments on Saturday the Edmonton crew did a great job and the track stayed smooth, dry and fast. The bar has been set again for rider count - 438 riders!
The results for Saturdays race are posted in the POINTS section. The overall standings and Sundays Championships will be posted later this week. There are a few errors with the overall standings that need to be corrected, we were using a new system that had some bugs but will provide us with timely and accurate year-to-date standings for next years series.
